David Wagner has been playing guitar for the Luxembourgish death metal pioneers Desdemonia since 2013.

Their fifth album Anguish was mixed and mastered by none other than producer legend Fredrik Nordström, one of the top metal producers in Europe, who is responsible for the trademark sound of classic albums like Slaughter of the Soul by At The Gates, the early In Flames and Dark Tranquillity albums, as well as Arch Enemy’s first albums or Opeth’s breakthrough record Blackwater Park.

Anguish will be released in autumn 2017.

“I wasn’t really looking for a new guitar, but when I saw and heard Dennis Hartog of Sinister play his SKG Anubis when we had a gig together, I was immediately blown away by its intricate look and its full & warm, yet very aggressive sound; so I just had to get one myself.Realizing that it was Henri from God Dethroned who was behind SKG, I knew I could be sure that my next guitar will be built by someone who knows exactly what a death metal guitar should sound like, which is another very big plus with this guitar! After having played my own fully customized Anubis for a few months now, I feel that the more it’s played the better it becomes!

The neck plays super smoothly and the tone with the Railhammer pickups is just brain melting both on the low end during the fat distorted riffs and during the clear high notes. I couldn’t be happier with my guitar.

It is definitely the best guitar I’ve ever had!”
